Ouch! How did you do it?
Be sure to keep it elevated as much as possible or it will swell and hurt!

I missed the bottom step on our porch, leaving for work Monday morning. Heard the dang thing break, and knew it was trouble as soon as I saw the funny angle it was sitting at. Fourtunately Doug was home, and we both had our cells handy.
They sent home a huge foam wedge with a cut out for my leg. It’s solid gold for keeping it up and making it easier to sleep. It’s already plenty swollen, so the surgery has to wait until next week, but I’m being good so it will go down quickly and heal better.

Thanks, Stevo. Surgery is Monday. I can’t wait to loose all this hardware.

I don’t know how I missed this — I’m so sorry that this happened, Shawn. That’s pretty much the last thing you needed.

Wait till you see my next post. This was just the beginning. It’s been a rough couple of weeks here.

That picture makes me hurt. I have been reading your blog and I must say that you are just as good at writing as I always thought. That’s my girl! Love you lots and I’m still praying.

Is it weird to be so tickled that my mom read my blog?
All the hardware is gone now. It’s been replace by a rather small cast that feels more like a vise at the moment, but I’ve been told that will pass soon.
I’m glad you enjoyed the blog. I love you too, and keep praying. He sure seems to listen to you.
