She had a blast. She loves doing girly things, and they took her shopping, and let her keep the clothes, then took her to get her hair and makeup done.
She did say it was kind of scary, because the book was really on fire and burnt her hands a bit.
It’s the cutest thing. She gave us a copy of the CD, and her dad made her sign it for him. Now, I have to find a way to frame it.
Thanks, Elissa!
Wish I could take some of the credit, but she looks like a carbon copy of her mother. I do get a lot of the credit for her attitude though.
It’s coming out soon, Wanda. I’ll find out from her where they’ll be on sale. The band is a bit loud and rowdy for my tastes. She says they’re “sick”, which I believe is a good thing.
David, that’s a good description of what people see when they first meet her!
It takes a while to learn that she’s also sensitive and very loving.
I asked her what she was thinking of when the picture was taken, and she said, “I just thought of what it would be like if they burned all the books to keep us from learning. It wouldn’t stop me. I couldn’t let them win.”

Thanks, Pandemonic!
She visited this weekend, and is growing up so fast. It’s easy to see what an incredible woman she’s going to be.

I thought so, Kmcdade. Thanks.
The back cover is even better, but I can’t get it to scan.

What a striking, brooding expression she has. Almost hostile, but not quite … still present enough to invite the viewer into her face.
